K KIDS HEARTS FULL OF GRATITUDE THIS THANKSGIVING

On behalf of K Kids Dachshund Rescue,  there are simply no words to express how grateful I am for the outpouring of love, enthusiasm, and commitment from a large number of folks who have given to K Kids during our first year in operation -- and they have given BIG.

To the fosters who stepped up and were patient as we tried to get their applications approved so they could foster for us, you are amazing. You are selfless. You are willing to do whatever it takes to save dachshund lives.

To the volunteers who will do other equally important things, like transport, process apps, write bios, work on fundraising, etc., thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being patient as well while we are sorting out our new rescue organization!.

To the adopters who have provided loving and safe forever homes for our very first crop of K Kids, your willingness to open your hearts and your homes to our dachshunds has substantially exceeded expectations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To every Facebook friend and supporter who has donated money, we are awed and humbled by your generosity.  You have understood what it takes to start up a new rescue, and you have responded with love and kindness to our fundraising efforts aimed principally at covering our dachshund vet expenses.

It is the spirit of teamwork across the K Kids network, as well as partnership from other rescue groups that has enabled us to rescue 17 dachshunds in the few short months we have had our doors open! To all who have played a part in this journey, thank you.
