Happy New Year!

We made it!  2018 is in the rear-view mirror and 2019 is stretched out ahead like a long country road.  This is the time of year when we all reflect on what we accomplished in the last year and what we have planned to make the next year even better.

At the beginning of 2018, K Kids Dachshund Rescue didn't even exist … unless, of course, you count existing in our minds.  We didn't actually start operations until the summer and, since then, we've exceeded our wildest expectations.  To date, we have saved a whopping 18 dogs!  That's incredible when you realize that our initial goal was to be able to save just one dog a month starting in 2019, and we have all of you to thank for this success.  Without your encouragement, assistance and generosity, none of this would have been possible. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What's in store for 2019?  There's no way to know, but the bar has been set pretty high.  If you have suggestions for what you would like to see from us, let us know.  We're always looking for more ways to raise awareness of the special challenges that face this amazing breed.  We can use more volunteers, fosters and adopters and, as always, we are grateful for those who provide financial support.  There's nothing like the feeling you get when you know that you've made a difference in a dog's life.

Dog's only know unconditional love.  I challenge you to return the favor.
